We are pleased to announce that Joyce Walters joined Teen Feed on August 10, 2015 to serve as the Interim Executive Director.
Joyce has spent her career focused on children and youth issues and is well known in Washington State as a strong advocate for children. Joyce is a member of the Governor’s Washington State Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Education Innovation Alliance leadership team and serves on the Future of Flight Foundation Board of Directors.
Joyce spent 25 years at The Boeing Company working with schools and nonprofit agencies, most of that time focused in Washington. Her last five years with the company were spent at the corporate level, where she had national and international oversight responsibility for the company’s investments in early learning, primary and secondary education. She is currently the CEO & Founder of Corporate Education Strategies (CES), providing consulting to organizations, affiliations, and corporations to increase business support for national, state, and local education reform. Joyce brings over 20 years of experience managing business and education partnerships, building corporate community investment and employee volunteer programs, and launching public and private education partnerships.

Her intuition and compassion, both for the organization as a whole and the youth we serve, have already proven to be invaluable. We have the utmost confidence that we will remain on-track and mission-focused during our transition with Joyce at the helm.”

Her life’s work has allowed her to find ways to make life better for young people in a variety of settings and in multiple ways. Her past experience will allow her to assist the board and staff at Teen Feed continue their legacy of caring for the young people who come to them for help.”
Joyce holds a BA in Psychology from Antioch University in Seattle, completed graduate level courses at Gonzaga University in organizational leadership and has completed training as a professional interim executive director. She lives with her husband in the Renton and Maple Valley area. Joyce is an active community volunteer, practices yoga, competes with her dog in Nosework trials, is trained as a Reiki master, and is also an avid reader.
